Zicong Wu

Zicong Wu

PhD Student

Kings College London

Zicong is a PhD student working on surgical robotics, especially the force/shape sensing and control using more advanced learning-based methods. Currently, he is focused on robotic intervention based on soft growing robot technology to perform the early-stage diagnosis and treatments in the mammary ductal network, under the supervision of Dr. Christos Bergeles and Prof. Kawal Rhode. He is also a member of the Robotics and Vision in Medicine (RViM) Lab at King’s College London (KCL).

His research interests include surgical robotics, shape/force sensing, and control.

Before that, Zicong was a Research Assistant at the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery in Imperial College London and the Institute of Medical Robotics in Shanghai Jiaotong University.
